#1) Onboarding & Implementation
Once the decision is made to move forward and the first payment is secured, we will need to schedule the engagement kick-off call, I’ll need to get access to a few of your existing digital properties (website, analytics, email software, etc.) to implement the technical aspects, and I’ll analyze those properties to get a feel for your brand while I put together your strategy and build out your new growth engine. This will all be done during the first month.
#2) Start the New Growth Engine
It’s time to turn on the ignition and push the pedal to the medal on your new growth engine, and with this new asset in place, there isn’t anything extra you need to do. As people interact with your digital properties the data being generated will be collected in a manner that will be automatically resurfaced to them in a way that will add a personalized touch to their experience. A custom report of how these new dynamic experiences are affecting your sales will be provided monthly.
#3) Tune-Ups & Optimizations

What happens after I pay?
You will be emailed with the official welcome letter and initial onboarding instructions. More specifically there will be two things for you to do immediately:
- Follow the included Calendly link so the engagement kick-off call can be scheduled. This call should be scheduled at least 72 hours in advance and the reason for that leads me into #2.
- I will need access to your store’s Google Analytics account and back office (this is where you log in to manage your store, different platforms refer to it in different terms).
Because I believe in full transparency, once I get you set up on my end I will give you access to everything concerning your account. All of this should be completed within the first week of sign up.
How do I know what’s being done?
I use Teamwork to track the status of projects and on-going tasks, as well as a centralized hub of communication between us so that you’ll have access to anything you may be concerned about at any time.
Aside from access to Teamwork, if you so chose, you can be given access to the 3rd party tools being used to execute this service so that you can “see the sausage being made”. Otherwise, you’ll have a monthly report delivered to you that acts as an aggregation of the analytics produced by each system and presented in a manner that is most applicable to you.
What results can I expect?
At the most basic level, you should see a noticeable uptick in sales. Aside from the increased sales, you can expect, at a minimum, a monthly report highlighting the specifics of how the automation systems are contributing to your overall sales figures and the kind of ROI you are getting by having them (and me) in place.
I can’t guarantee a specific amount of sales, because the results themselves will always vary based on a number of factors. If you’re interested in getting some idea of what your ROI might look like feel free to request a free custom report.
How do you measure results?
Aside from requesting access to your Google Analytics account, the 3rd party tools I implement on your site come with their own analytics and reporting. A combination of all of these will be used to make sure things stay on track.
How do I know if my store is right for personalization campaigns?
There are widely accepted strategies that, for the big box retailers, have proven time and time again to produce results. It wasn’t until the past few years where the technology needed to execute these types of strategies became affordable for everyone.
Do you offer other services, like SEO or PPC?
No. SEO, specifically, is a mystical art that I just assume leave to the people whose Kung Fu is strong in that area. Plus my strengths are not in getting traffic to your site, but in properly engaging them once they get there … so I would rather focus my energies on my strengths instead of trying to be an all-purpose online marketer.
What’s with the recurring fee? I thought automation was something you “set and forget”...
Ha! If things were that easy I would just charge a one-time setup/implementation fee and send you on your way. But unfortunately, that’s not the reality we’re in (yet). Going back to the Formula One analogy I used earlier, it seems simple enough pushing a gas pedal and keeping a car on the road, but there is a lot of mechanics happening under the hood that requires routine maintenance to keep the racer performing properly…same goes for systems that have been automated.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
Nope! As of right now, this is strictly a month-to-month service that is auto-charged at the beginning of each month. At any time you feel like the value isn’t there for you feel free to cancel with no questions asked. A refund will be issued in accordance with the Terms of Service provided at the beginning of the engagement.
